WHAT'S NEW WITH AJ?

AJ's reaction when she sees Booker's & Vickie's comments about her

RAW General Manager AJ Lee posted a series of Touts from her hotel room in Chicago Sunday night. AJ was playing up SmackDown’s storyline where Booker T and Vickie Guerrero were talking bad about her. In the final video, AJ was shown saying, “Board of Directors… they won’t be mad. They won’t be mad.”

RAW General Manager AJ Lee has an interview coming out in the next issue of WWE Magazine.

WWE Champion CM Punk attacked Jerry Lawler, interrupted Sheamus’ address of the WWE Universe

A storm was brewing in the Windy City before Raw even began, when WWE Champion CM Punk attacked Jerry “The King” Lawler in the bowels of the Allstate Arena, incapacitating the WWE Hall of Famer and rendering him unable to attend to his duties at the commentary table.

Nonetheless, World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus took to the ring to address the WWEUniverse, but his fighting words for Alberto Del Rio were quickly cut off by none other than Chi-town’s favorite son, The Second City Saint himself. One week after Punk’s controversial pummeling of Lawler inside a steel cage, Punk (showered by adulation from his hometown fans) was still singing the same tune, bemoaning the lack of respect shown to him by the WWE Superstars and Universe alike. In this case, the champion took exception to Sheamus’ attempts to “try and talk to my hometown.” Punk played the native son card against The Celtic Warrior and claimed Lawler had attacked him from behind, provoking the “Chicago-style” beating at the hands of Punk.

“There is only one ‘King’ in Chicago,” Punk said, “and when you come at the king, you best not miss.”

The Voice of the Voiceless quickly shifted his ire toward John Cena, the “little white knight” who interrupted Punk’s “lesson in respect” to Lawler in the steel cage the previous week. Punk argued that if Cena helped Lawler, he agreed with Lawler’s statement that he had turned his back on the WWE Universe (an implication, by the way, the Chicago crowd thoroughly disagreed with).
Sheamus, however, had had enough. The Great White, quite fed up with Punk’s sermon, wasted no time in challenging the WWE Champion to put his money where his mouth was and prove himself as The Best in the World against the World Heavyweight Champion.

Punk could barely get his response out before Raw General Manager AJ made her presence known, announcing the two main events for Raw: one-on-one matches between the respective No. 1 contenders for the World Titles, John Cena and Alberto Del Rio, and a Champion vs. Champion Match between Punk and Sheamus. Light it up, indeed. Watch video bellow:

WWE Champion CM Punk took a “day off” against World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus
WWE Champion CM Punk made his point quite succinctly when he approached the ring for his Champion vs. Champion Match against Sheamus: It was Labor Day, and he was taking the night off. While Sheamus stood flabbergasted in the ring, Raw GM AJ Lee attempted to stop The Second City Saint’s surprise exodus, to which he responded simply he was taking a “personal day,” and drove off in the passenger side of a car. While Matt Striker attempted to get answers out of AJ, she promised a quick fix: She would find Sheamus a replacement opponent. Watch video below:

Things took a far more ominious turn backstage, however, when Jack Swagger revealed to AJ that he’d be taking “some extended time off.” “I’m better than this,” said The All-American American and, despite AJ’s impassioned pleas to keep another Superstar from leaving her, Swagger made his way to the exit. AJ Lee apologized to Vickie Guerrero and had a breakdown in the ring
In one of those instances where “I’m sorry” simply didn’t cut it, Raw GM AJ Lee made her way to the ring and gave a heartfelt apology to both Vickie Guerrero and the WWE Universe for her recent actions as GM, which the WWE Board of Directors had apparently deemed inappropriate and unworthy of the office she held. Moreover, the Board had decreed that AJ was prohibited from putting her hands on any WWE Superstar or Diva ever again. However, Vickie, who was clearly out for more than an apology, took advantage of AJ’s vulnerability and forced her to personally apologize to Vickie for AJ’s attack two weeks earlier, and to “make it mean something.”
AJ, after what seemed like much deliberation, ponied up and said she was sorry. So Vickie slapped her. While AJ literally shook with rage in the ring, Vickie taunted her (“you can’t touch meeee”) before slapping AJ again and skipping away.
At a loss for words and actions, AJ promptly had a meltdown in the middle of the ring, slamming a steel chair against the mat before tossing it over the ropes and onto the ramp. All in all, not a great day for the Raw General Manager. Watch video below:

Unfit to lead: Has AJ Lee hit her breaking point?

SEP5th

We never thought we’d agree with Vickie Guerrero, but on Monday Night Raw, she made a pretty good point. Lambasting AJ Lee for her recent actions as Raw General Manager — including, but not limited to, instigating a full-on brawl with The Queen Diva herself the previous week — Vickie affirmed that the red brand’s new authority is in way over her head.

“It is clear that she is losing control of her show,” Vickie shrieked in reference to AJ’s leadership abilities before calling the pant-suited powder keg to the ring and demanding an apology. AJ obliged, shuffling down the ramp and noticeably lacking the signature spring in her step. Indeed, after attempting to deal with WWE Champion CM Punk’s pre-Raw attack on Jerry “The King” Lawler, The Second City Saint’s subsequent refusal to compete in his scheduled Champion vs. Champion Match, Jack Swagger’s decision to take “time off” and some probing questions from Matt Striker, Ms. Lee was in no mood for skipping that night — a true rarity.

Vickie Guerrero tells the WWE Universe that she's ready to address some personal issues. "My personal issues are with AJ," she reveals.

After Vickie says AJ Lee has failed to deliver on her promises and orders her to leave, the Raw General Manager appears.

AJ says the WWE Board of Directors said her actions are "inappropriate and sometimes juvenile." "They want me to apologize," AJ says. "So I'm just going to say it: I'm sorry."

"Oh, AJ, that is so touching!" Vickie says sarcastically, and demands another apology. AJ delivers two more apologies to Vickie.

Vickie’s overtly critical stance on AJ’s performance over the past six weeks was shared at least somewhat by WWE’s Board of Directors, as AJ herself had admitted. Representatives from WWE’s stringent governing body told the diminutive Raw GM over the phone Monday night that her behavior has been “inappropriate and sometimes juvenile,” adding that she is not to put her hands on “any Superstar, manager or anyone else ever again.” WWE’s Board also required that AJ apologize for attacking Vickie, an act that was met by the defiant Diva with a slap across the Raw GM’s face.
Although Vickie was clearly in the wrong for taking advantage of AJ’s vulnerability and striking Ms. Lee knowing full well there would be no retaliation, the Raw GM’s resultant in-ring meltdown no doubt raised more than a few eyebrows among members of both the WWE Universe and the WWE Board.
Upon examining AJ Lee’s savage, chair-throwing tantrum, WWE.com asks the question: Is AJ truly the right choice to serve as Raw General Manager?

Then, Vickie shockingly slaps AJ across the face!

Vickie taunts AJ, reminding her that she cannot touch her, by orders of the WWE Board of Directors. She slaps the unstable Raw GM one more time, even harder.
